Welcome to the Spring Edition of Magnet, where we reflect on the words of John Henry Newman, "to live is to change". In this issue we consider what it means to be Church in a changing world and across generations in the twenty first century. We ask how we can practise hospitality - whether with a quality cooked community meal or the simplicity of toast and jam. Sarah Erskine looks at responses to abortion from a pastoral perspective and raises the question of how churches can be supportive in sensitive circumstances. We also learn about the ways in which churches in Cumbria are working together across the denominations to enable local churches to flourish.
With this issue taking us through the seasons of Lent, Holy Week, Easter and Pentecost, we reflect on the transformative changes we encounter in our spiritual lives.
We'd love to know what you think, both of the issue as a whole and of individual articles. Keep in touch via email, our website, Facebook and Twitter.
